Nat Re welcomes new President and CEO Allan Santos

The National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines (Nat Re; PSE symbol: NRCP) appointed Mr. Allan Rossi Santos as its new President and Chief Executive Officer effective August 16, 2018, succeeding Mr. Augusto Hidalgo III.

Prior to this, Mr. Santos was Nat Re’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer overseeing Finance, Investments, Data and Analytics, Technology, Human Resources and Office Services.

During his term as President and CEO, which began in 2014, Mr. Hidalgo led efforts to transform the Company into a more customer-centric organization and initiated measures that strengthened the Company’s technical capabilities.  He significantly grew the business both in terms of topline and bottomline.

Mr. Santos has 25+ years of experience in local and international insurance/reinsurance markets in the US, Asia and Europe.  He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Math and Bachelor of Science in Math both from the University of the Philippines.  He is a Fellow of both the Actuarial Society of Philippines and the Society of Actuaries (US) and is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

The Nat Re Board of Directors and all Nat Re employees wish Mr. Hidalgo all the best as he pursues new career opportunities, and congratulate Mr. Santos as he assumes his new posts.
