NAT RE EMPLOYEES UNDERGO FIRST AID TRAINING. Last April 10 to 14, 10 members of the National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines Emergency Response Team underwent training to become certified first aid providers in order to enhance their safety knowledge and resilience skills.

Ten (10) members of the National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines Emergency Response Team (Nat Re ERT) recently built their safety knowledge and resilience skills as they trained to become certified first aid providers.

“We in Nat Re believe that first aid training is a critical component of building resilience and preparedness, both for individuals and for communities as a whole. As the country’s national reinsurer, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees, and we encourage our clients and partners to do the same. By investing in first aid training, we can help prevent accidents and injuries, and better respond to emergencies when they occur,” said Allan R. Santos, Nat Re President and Chief Executive Officer.

From April 10 to 14, the 10 Nat Re ERT members underwent a Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Training CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) with AED (Automatic External Defibrillator), a four-day training course covering all aspects of first aid and CPR for infants, children, and adults in various situations until full medical treatment is available.

The training was conducted at the Nat Re office in Makati City by qualified members of the Philippine Red Cross.

With the training completion, Nat Re, the country’s national reinsurer, continues to be compliant with DOLE Department Order No. 235, or the Rules on the Certification of First Aiders and the Accreditation of First Aid Training Providers.

In the first five months of 2022, the Philippine Red Cross, an accredited first aid training provider, trained over 20,000 first aiders across the country.
